Is it better to scroll or use the number keys?

I've seen lots of people switching items in their hotbar pretty fast. Is it better to reach the items by scrolling or by using the number keys? Also, how do you sort the items on your hotbar?

Number keys are quicker, but if you have small hands it is harder to reach them quick enough.

Get a gaming mouse with buttons on it and get a small keyboard I use a small mechanical keyboard and I have a gaming noise with 1 button on its side I hit that button go to rod knock the person and then switch to my 1 slot by reaching my finger to the 1 key and sword then it just takes practice you'll get it! Took me around a month to master it, but I could do it fluently in a week!

Using the numbers is easier to master, though if you've mastered the scrolling it'll give you a better advantage as you can also quickly acces higher slots on your hotbar ( Button 5-9 are hard to press ).

So my opinion would be that scrolling is better once fully mastered.

I say gaming mouse is the best way to go butif that's not accessible use number keys better than scrolling because you will rarely miss

I personally recommend my Steel series Sensei it has to buttons on the right side and two on the left and two on top, you can get the Raw version (what I have) for about 60 US Dollars, the Sensei, (not raw) costs about 80 it just has more details and like color changes I think the raw is your best offer, or you can go with the Razer deathadder which has two buttons it's for a right handed guy, what's your spending limit!

I program my first 4 number slots to over keys. I have c for 1, v for 3, r for 4 and g for 2. My slots are 1 sword, 2 bow, 3 fishing pole, 4 fns. The reason for this is most pvp servers auto spawn you items in those locations. I scroll to all over slots which are either food or extra fns.

Depending on what mouse you have, I would go for number keys. I have used them basically for ever and since my mouse is the sucky apple one, I use number. However, if you have a decent mouse, I might suggest using scroll.
