How to deal with fistfighters?

Most of my games, no matter where I go, there's always some guy who loves to stalk me and beat me to death with their bare fists. It's gotten to the point where I die within the first minute or so of almost every single game now. I've tried just not putting any armor on or running far away from the center, but nothing works. Is there any way to deal with these guys?

if you have armour, put it on, chances are the fistfighters wont have armour, so in a fight with hands you should easily win

Try not to fight one on one with a fist-fighter if you have no weapons. In the event that you do get in a fight with one, remember to jump and punch quickly to do a whole heart of damage so you can kill them before they kill you.

If someone starts a fist fight with me, i either
1. Kill them with my fists
2. Take a second to laugh at them in chat and lead them as far out of there way as possible (if nothing goes right)
3. Go look through chests, find a sword, slaughter their faces

It takes a really long time for them to kill you with only fists, more than enough time to find a weapon. Also, if this happens to you every game, which i don't think it does, then that might be because you are being an annoying little brat in the lobby. It might be just me, but i make it personal if someone gets me annoyed in the lobby.

Okay, I'll try that. I'm wondering if I accidentally pissed someone off and they're telling everyone to just follow me from spawn and beat me to death, because maybe 1 in 4 games I can survive past the first couple minutes.

Yeah, no. Never put your armor on right away. Fists will always do the minimum amount of damage so armor won't help with that and armor just puts a giant target on your face for anybody with a weapon who wants it.

Really? I always get my armour on rather quickly, it's saved me more time then i can count in conflicts within the first few minutes. far easier to survive an attack with an axe if you have armour on.

I only ever get attacked by a fistfighter once every 15 games, and kill them almost every time by just ignoring them and following my route until I get a sword.

Either you are punching people at the start first, or you are doing/saying something in lobby that makes people really want to kill you... (Or you have horrible luck.)
There really is no other reason unless some people decided to be real jerks about it and hunt you down every game for whatever weird reason they had.

Well, yes if the person was attacking you with an axe. But in this guy's case with fistfights armor would only detriment you until you find a weapon. If see a person with armor on and i have a weapon they are pretty much saying "i have armor, come kill me!"

I'll give you that, I am just the kind of guy that would rather have it no and not need it then suddenly need it and not have it. As for fistfights, I didn't know that armour didn't really hold much of a factor, in which case as many have suggested just going about until you find a weapon would be the best option.

try to get a easy to reach tier 1 chest and kill them, if you don't get a weapon keep running for more regular chests and slaughter them!
