Mixed emotions. Where I live the summer has been pretty bad the weather has sucked so far and it's depressing. I really like school cause me and the rest of the boys are there and it's where I go to spot out my ladies. But I feel like summer it too short and I'm not ready to go back (I might be in September when my school actually starts). I'm excited too since it will be my first year at High School and all my High School friends say that it is amazing compared to middle school. So I don't want summer to end but I'm ok with the thought of school being not far around the corner.

I actually enjoy school tbh. I love getting working hard and achieving good marks haha. Gives me the feeling of accomplishment. And I love hanging out with my friends because school is the only time I see them because when I'm home the internet takes up my life.

I'm not really happy because I will be back in classes and stuff. I will meet new people now (i have some friends in that school though).

I'm not excited for the classes/homework, but I am in a competitive theatre group called One-Act, and last year we won our state competition (Super Big Deal) and it is one of the most fun things ever. I'm also in show choir, and the people in there are cool so I think I can actually enjoy school this year. xD If you're having struggles with school, just try and make friends or join an activity that will keep you busy.

I'm guessing you live in Scotland?
Nope, Puerto Rico.

We left school around mid May, so at mid August it evens out to a decent 3 monthish summer.

I still prefer to start in end in early June and start in September : /

I have a story relating to this...

I half decided/was half forced to attend a week-long overnight tennis camp about 7 hours away from where I live. I did not know a soul there. For the weeks before the camp started, I was so nervous and I had convinced myself that it was going to be an awful experience and I was going to hate it.

However, within 20 seconds of being there, I met someone who introduced themselves to me. We found out we were staying in the same bunk together, and we became instant friends. From there, I met more and more people, and it ended up being one of the best experiences of my 16-year-old life. I would give anything to go back...

My advice: It's okay to stress about things like this, and it's totally normal. Just trust me when I say that everything will work out. You will meet people. You will make new friends. The only thing you have to do is not be picky. If someone introduces themselves to you, say hi back, no matter who it is. I guarantee you will meet people if you go in with this mindset.

Honestly, I like school. I like learning, I made good friends, and I manage the work load very well. I just don't see whats not to like about it, and if you really hate it that much, then maybe you're doing something wrong.
