Heheh... Second opinion/idea thread! Yay

This time, I want to address giving a couple of servers the chance to play some of the old maps removed from McSG. I joined not to long ago, and found I can't play some of the infamous maps put on these servers. I've also seen petitions circling on brining maps back, and thought it'd be great to have them on separate servers, and not the ones that have 'the favoured maps.'

Please do this! For the sake of me wanting to play Freeze Island and Boombeards Battle :c

Please comment on your thoughts!

Thanks

Here are a couple of reasons against this idea:
  1. This would be a waste of servers and money spent, as there probably won't be many people playing it. It would end up deserted like QQ and SGClassic.
  2. Old maps were removed for a reason, not because they just spontaneously decided to do so. The community had a role in the decision (for example: Freeze Island was removed because people were complaining of ice chases and they chose to keep Demon's Breeze over it).

Probably should have gone into more depth in the original post, but I'll explain it here

It will be the same gamemode, which happens on a couple of the SG servers (lets say five for now)
The only thing that will differ between SG and this is the map pool, as it will contain the maps previously on McSG

As much as I can agree that the community didn't like these maps, I'm sure that others would've loved them. I mean, these maps look genuinely fun (imo), hence the creation of this idea/post!

Though thank you for your constructive criticism.

It's a pretty good idea and the people who joined not long ago can have a go at the older maps and to see why there were taken out. It should be like the last server such as 195 - 200 or something like that.

WOW - this idea is amazballs :p

But seriously, I actually like this idea. I know of at least 10 maps that I would love to see again:

- Moonlight Lake
- Treacherous Heights
- Destiny's Shiver
- Hungry Hills (24 Player)
- Freeze Island

Just to name a few!

This server would be popular as there are lots of players who want these maps and it would be more of a challenge as not many people have great chest routes, so it would be fairer in that sense.

If I'm not mistaken, that's a test server for possibly future maps, such as the old PMC servers that were removed (if possible, they should bring them back. They were awesome).

Great idea, but the maps, as said before, were removed for a reason. But, on the bright side, the newer players would possibly play it, but what makes you think they would absolutely love it? Servers are a lot of money, especially the fact that they buy them 25 at a time. I would like it because it reminds me of the good old days back in 2012, but I don't know if it's worth it or not..
