Am I the only one that finds that pvp no longers requires like any skill? It's all about luck . I'm getting killed by people with like 1/15 ratio when I have 1/4 and all people do is run at you and spam left click and sometimes they win sometimes you do ;P

Explain to me how you approach a fight. What are the gear comparisons between you and your opponent when you approach them? How do you execute your melee (sword) fights? Do you use secondaries? How often? Which secondaries? That kinda stuff

I usually try to hit them with a rod with hotkeys and I usually don't use offensive flint and steel and then I just try to go in with the sword and jitter click and then usually to try to get a combo I click w and s and just strafe ;3

Aim is more important than click speed. Click at a comfortable pace for your hand and spend more effort trying to land all your hits. If you get the first hit go for a strafe combo by pressing either a or d and holding the combo until it breaks. Works 90% of the time

What Ceroria said. 1.8 is mainly around how well you can use secondaries rather than being more about the sword. Jitter clicking therefore is not as effective as it used to be, so I recommend focusing on aim instead.

When engaging into a fight don't jump, I've noticed you can't land the first hit and your opponent can get an amazing combo on u, works for u aswell u can get an amazing combo on ur opponent without jumping

Luck certainly plays a role, but skill is more important it gives +100kk to luck

I find that in 1.8 there is no way to combo another player as consistently as you were able to in 1.7, which is why I hate it. I have to play MCSG cautiously and usually just get stacked on an undertaken route, make sure to fight any teams before dm, then bowspam. Fighting the teams is seriously difficult as it feels like my combos break at random, inexplicable moments, and I end up getting comboed myself, usually spelling my death.

The problem is that we haven't quite figured out 1.8. You need to test things on another server and see what works and what doesn't. Find your own way to fight!

No I don't lol. I'm a skilled player; it's the update, not me.

It's more strategy than skill I guess. You have to know what to do in certain situations.
