Bring Back the Old MCSG

Hello. My name is Impulsives. I started playing on MCSG around April 4, 2014. Been 2 years already. Everything really happened so fast and MCSG started having inactive members.. You must ask why?:

HACKERS:
Most of the time people will encounter a lot of hacker in a day of playing in MCSG, this is kind of annoying since people can't play properly due to hackers. I know that we can't prevent getting hackers from MCSG, but in my opinion WE CAN if we fix our NPC, and more active STAFF playing SG's.

STAFF:
I wouldn't call out every staff. But in my opinion, they've gotten inactive so much. We can barely even see moderators every day, not like before, MCSG is full of STAFF online before. As I said in the 'HACKERS' topic, we need MORE staff in order to get rid of HACKERS out there.

PERIPHERAL SERVERS:
Just this week AU was dropped. Most of the people in AU are of course playing in AU MCSG, now that AU server has been dropped Australian's won't mostly appreciate their gameplay due to lags (because Chad removed AU ,if so, Australians will play in US MCSG. They've also LOST CA servers. We have lost 1000-1500 players due to dropping of peripheral servers. This might be long ago but remembering the dropping of AS servers. I've been posting this petition for a while and staff are saying that it was dropped because of few players in it. I know we're lacking budget of hostings, but in my opinion AU, CA, AS servers should be restored. Even though you live in Canada you'll still get a decent ping when connected to US (50-100 ping). I'm sorry to say this, but, in my opinion most important peripheral servers are AU, AS. These continents are the most farther away from US. AS players EXPECTS 250-500 PING, while AU players (when connected to US) approximately gets 200-500 PING. There are even more AS PLAYERS, there are more populations of AS Players as of now. You'll see Japanese, Sinaporean, Malaysian, Indonesian, Filipino, etc... being more active.

MINIGAMES:
MCSG was known for its QUALITY SG GAMES. Yet, recently this 2015, minigames was added. I would call it USELESS. It decreased the population of SG players. In my opinion the most mandatory gamemodes are Survival Games and Battlegrounds. Overall, minigames... is useless.

IRON DONOR:
Iron donor was removed. This is a temporary donor for 3-5 months+. In my opinion this helps the sales of donorship in MCSG.

MAPS:
There are countless maps in MCSG. MCSG should start a thread about removing useless big maps. I would recommend remove the following:

Survival Games 1 - Team Vareide
Survival Games 2 - Team Vareide
Survival Games 3 - Team Vareide
Survival Games 5 - Team Vareide
Ancient Japan - Team Vareide
Freeze Island - krackan
Fortress Pyke - xBayani
Teweran SG (Howling Mountains) - Team Vareide
Fortune Islands - juanhbk1

These are the most unvoted maps in MCSG. If you're an active player, when joining in this map, you see a lot of people LEAVING the game because of the map. Please remove countless, unvoted maps.


ANTI CHEAT:
I know this is hard to code, but this needs to be fixed. Countless people are getting kicked for flying and all the craps and the player isn't even flying. If you watch Solrflare's video "Ant Cheat Prevails" in the intro you see him fighting a guy and Solr got a great combo but as soon he gets low hearts, Solr started backing up. As soon Solr backs up he wasn't able to hit the guy but for no reason Solr's opponent is running towards him and DIED FOR NO REASON. The guy was just running to him and suddenly died while running.

LOBBIES:
Old lobbies should come back like the lobbies before. Like the "Lobby Games". And the OLD HUB should be back. Putting the SIGNS TO JOIN back in order to remove the confusion of new players in MCSG.


These are my opinions for making MCSG better again. Most of PvP players grew up here. We're already missing the OLD MCSG. I hope I can catch the attention of the staff especially, the Owner (ChadTheDJ). I thought this thoroughly. I typed this for almost an hour. Hope this catches attention. Thank you.

Okay okay so,

1. Hackers are always going to be on the servers there has been hackers since the server was created.

2. I talk quite a bit of stuff members and there not active lmao you obviously don't know how inactive some staff members where in 2013 they would just want the red name and go inactive months and when they did come online they abused there powers. Now days there's like no staff abusing powers and yeah it would be nice to have staff in every game wouldn't it. NOT HAPPENING.

3. AU dropped like 2 months ago not 1 week ago. CA yeah I agree. AS 100% agree with that to. I'm AU and I'm like one out of 10 AU players who go US and I'm like the only AU player currently in a all US clan. Also player numbers have been dropping since 2015.

4. I agree that the only played gamemodes currently are SG and battlegrounds, but they should get rid of UHC worlds and just bring in hosted UHC instead and bring creative back to and get rid of all the dead minigames.

Ok no firstly SG5 , Freeze island and ancient Japan aren't even on mcsg anymore and I want those maps back anyway.
And as for SG1 , SG2 , SG3 and fortune island, get a route and you won't be complaing plus all old players like these maps and I literally played these maps yesterday.
And as for fortress pyke and TSG hm I'm not sure if there still on the servers.

Yeah true but the anti cheat picks up and knows if your hacking just doesn't work like badlion perm banning you instantly when your hacking and badlion anti cheat is overrated as I know someone who goes on there and uses huzuni gets banned like 30 matches later at least there anti cheat cleans the place a bit though mcsg doesn't do that.

I know that you're pretty much played in mcsg a long time ago. But I think hackers could be decreased by mods being active. Around 2014-1st quarter of 2015 you'll always see red names when 'tabbing'. I did not say HACKERS should be REMOVED. We could decrease the number of hackers by having active staff members. First of all in application as staff we have the question "how active are you" or such. You'd say you're active but you can't be seen every once in a while. We're lacking active staff members in my opinion.

Yeah, this is very frustrating. Don't forget that you have the ability to help Moderators locate hackers by using the /report command, contacting them on TS, or gathering evidence yourself and making a Report Abuse.
WE CAN if we fix our NPC
The Anti-Cheat system is being worked on daily by our Developer team along with other aspects of our network. Remember that Developers are responsible for every single aspect of how the server runs physically, not just the anti-cheat. There are other issues to resolve and other upgrades to be made.

Every time around this year we drop in the amount of staff members, community members, etc. It's just how it works. Spring time and the end of school is when we see a decline, but it usually picks up in the summer time. We have also raised the standards when accepting Moderators in the past few months. You have to take into account that we can just pull in staff members or developers out of no where. People have to apply and they have to meet our standards.
Just this week AU was dropped
AU was temporarily dropped April 5th which was almost two months ago. It is expected to return once Chad can find a more affordable and reliable host.
They've also LOST CA servers. We have lost 1000-1500 players due to dropping of peripheral servers.
With the majority of our network's base being in EU (about twice the size of US), us no longer having AU, CA, and AS wasn't as big of a hit in the numbers as you may think. It certainly was not in the thousands. While it is unfortunant that we lost those players, because they are our friends, the numbers simply weren't that high. And correct me if I'm wrong, but AS and CA were about two years ago or so and were not up very long to begin with. They also were not too popular. AS gathered less attention that AU did in it's more recent days. It did not break 100 very often. CA was around the size of US, but not quite there. Most people that played on CA, though, were people from US in the first place.

Iron donor was removed, because it was made irrelevant by the reorchestration of the donation system. "Iron donor" is still available through a certain way you can purchase Gold Donor. Iron Donor was $10 for one month. You can now purchase Gold Donor lifetime for $40 or $10 for one month, so "Iron Donor" still technically exists. It is actually an upgrade for the same price, because Gold Donor now has the price of Iron Donor with more benefits than Iron Donor had.

Right now, Maps are a bit of a complicated area with Alpaka no longer being the Map Admin. The current administration team is still responsible for the matter, but with it not being designated to a specific individual, it hasn't been able to see much attention. I would expect to see this issue resolved soon, though.
These are my opinions for making MCSG better again.
These opinions and this thread for the most part has been made several times. We love to see your guys' opinions, but just know that we do understand the problems you guys see and the changes you guys would like to see. It's important to remember that things cannot be changed in an instant and to change them it is not nearly as simple as people may believe. We cannot just hire more Mods/Devs if applications that don't meet our standards come in. Moderators cannot know of certain hackers unless people report them. Developers are on a schedule and by contract have to work. They are working and I know people would like to see what they are doing, but due to competition and legal reasons, they simply cannot release all their actions. Patience and understanding while issues are fixed is much appreciated. Please keep letting us know your guys' opinions, so that we can continue to improve the network.

This is a question. We ask how often they could dedicate time to being a staff member. We also do extensive research into the individual before we make any decision on them to verify things like this. People have personal issues that they have to take care of at times. They cannot always dedicate all their time to being a staff member. Some people are hard core into being a Moderator, but some people are here just to do some day to day work and not get too much into it. Both are completely fine as long as they are reaching our standards. Timezones and times of day in which people work. Just because you personally may not see a Moderator or staff member on at the same time you are on or in the same server, etc, doesn't mean that the staff team is not active.

I have noticed what you have mentioned about staff members. I can't ever seem to get them on TS when I need them, and back before there would be 3-4 or in the hub now I barely see them. However, in game they are just as frequent.

You raise some fair points but sadly they are very out of reach.

When MCSG was 1.8 hackers dissapeared and when MCSG is on 1.7 now hackers appeared.I played on AU and here was not hackers and on US are not hackers and on EU are a lot of hacker than AU and US.A lot of Staff members are inactive and they should be more active on server because MCSG needs they.I played a lot on MCSG and I saw moderators only on US and on EU I saw 2 mods.On EU I saw Yannick and 5 Mods and on EU 2 mods.I don't think this is activity.MCSG should have a new staff , a new anti-cheat to be the old mcsg.THE OLD MCSG WAS BETTER.

I think the staff team is just thin right now. There aren't enough moderators for the server to function like it used too.
