No, and there lies the crux of the situation. I do not dislike BajanCanadian, though I may not be his biggest supporter. It is his fans I cannot stand, such as those so clearly highlighted in Duck's wonderful pic. BajanCanadian deserved his ban, as he had continued to use a banned mod, and though I have nothing against him personally, I a glad the ban was carried through. With people such as his fans making up even 5% of the community, MCSG became a place that was no longer a home, a community, a family. It became a land filled with spamming, profanity, hackers, and fistfighting noobs. To be completely honest, it sucked. Yet, with Bajan's ban, we have a chance to come back from that. Sure his fans will rage, but we can weather that, and both the community and the servers as a whole will be better for it.

Think about it. Bajan inspires a vast number of rather fanatical, unsavory fans (highlighted in Duck's picture). Don't you think the community will be better off without people like those? They are clearly quitting as a result of Bajan's ban, and as such the community is shedding some of the members that contributed to it being a rather depressing place. So really, I do to see how the community could possibly suffer as a result, with the only possible downside I see is a drop in publicity (though that publicity was, in my opinion, bringing in more bad than good).

What are you people talking about. mitch is just a really good mc player. Over 200.000 people are asking themselves why the hunger games champion doesn't do sg anymore. Watch his videos before you just ban him. Thebajabcanadian is definitely not a hacker and without him lots of people in the hopes of playing with witch will leave this server because they know its not possible anymore. And if you still didn't change your choice then I take the full responsibility of the ban which means that you ban me and leave TheBajanCanadian on this server. And I do this because mitch is just really awesome and all of his fans are behind him and I don't think you want to lose over 200.000 players do you. WE WANT TO SEE HIM PLAY SG.

I'll break this down into a few points.

1. BajanCanadian is a hacker, though perhaps not in your sense of the word. He uses the Better Sprint Mod, which provides an unfair advantage over other players and is a banned mod. He knew this, and was told by the Sr. Staff to stop using it, yet he persisted, with evidence of it clear in his recent videos. This is why he was banned, as anyone who broke the rules would be.

2. You cannot be banned in his place. It doesn't work like that. He broke the rules and he is paying the consequences. Whether or not you 'take responsibility' for the ban does not matter. He is banned. Period.

3. MCSG wil lose players over this, yes, but for the most part I feel that will be a positive change. While over 200,000 people may watch his videos, those that leave as a result of him being banned are likely to be fanatical, spammers, rule-breakers, and other assorted people who, ultimately, we do not want as members of our servers. You have seen the picture in the OP, and you see what his fanatical fans are like. In my opinion, the servers are becoming better by those fans and fans like them deciding to leave. So, though you may posture and threaten with talk of players leaving, in the end nothing will come of it.

Don't worry Calvin. Big Brother will forgive you and when you accept your wrong doing and reject the teachings of Emanuel Goldstein(in this situation Bacca) you will be welcomed back into our loving embrace.
