The best defensive play...

This consists of fending away your enemies with the fishing rod, defending your position with a flint & steel, dodging & blocking arrows, not missing your arrows when you're low on health, and obviously running away when you're low on health.
*Not many people block arrows*

Honestly no one sees me as a defensive player because I never normally get low enough to actually need to run. That's why I taught myself how to attack and defend at the same time with FnS+Sword+Rod and also develop a strong & steady aggressive game.

What do you guys view "defensive play" as?

If the most defensive player is the one who always runs no matter what health they're on, because that's their "style" then the best defensive player is the one who doesn't miss with the bow. I'm pretty sure everyone here knows how to sprint the opposite direction of an opponent.
