Struggles Of Swimming

No, I don't think any of you know the struggles of swimming.

1. When your coach yells at you for BREATHING

2. When your coach pressures you to make state.

3. The pain when your coach misses your best race.

4. When you see your swim teammates more than your family.

5. The early morning wake ups for the swim meets.

6. The cramps.

7. Not hearing your time because of water in your ears.

8. The annoying people that grab onto the lane rope.

9. When you hit yourself on the lane rope.

10. The people that touch your feet.

Do you still think swimming is 'FUN'
Think about that the next time you ask can you go swimming.

AGFire2013, Now perhaps you can tell me about rowing?
See AGFire2013 swimming is better than rowing, you don't have to suffer so much and it's a ton more fun :3 And you left one out, it happened to me once

11. When your in 1st place and then you miss your flipturn on the wall =..=

Edit: I think I can handle your workout at a decent pace lol ;) What are your times? and what events do you do :3 I like swimming 50 free, 100 free, 50 breast 100 breast :p

Oh, God no. The water is cold. You don't want to get in because it's cold. But you don't want to get out because it's cold. It's tough man.

OMG yes! my coach yelled at me forever. I can't pull up my times right now, but maybe I can take a pic of my workout tomorrow and I can post it!

Warmup: 300 75 freestyle 75 back (2) - 200 IM - 200 sidekick


Pre-set: 12 50's all out free - 4 100's stroke

Main-set: 300 free - 4x 100 fast on 1:50 - and some more horrible stuff

Warmdown: 12 25's UW (UnderWater kick) 100 free easy

To be honest that seems like a pretty easy practice for me at least...

I'm a seventh grader and I'm in a lane with ninth graders because I'm a "prodigy" to my coach, well last season. Personally, club swimming is a lot more enjoyable than shool swimming. Although it is a pain sometimes.

I'm really sorry but in Greek we have different terminologies and ways of saying things, so I can't really tell you. Also, I live in a part of it that is surrounded by sea, so I don't have to go that often to lessons. We do like 75-100 Underwater kicks, and we do other excercises to stretch.

Tbh I wouldn't call it upfront easy, my friends made it to JO[Junior Olympics] and is incredibly fast. This would probably make him pretty darn tired, and I'd be really tired as well. I think the 300 free would kill because A. I can't do more then 200 free at a go, and B. I pretty much suck at maintaining a good speed for more than a 100. :p

I like the suffering.
Why?....
