I don't see why removing clan threads is any sort of issue at all. Just to start, it really isn't doing anything to the clan community at all. Not many people find clans they want to join by scrolling through the New Posts section of the forums, they go to the Clans and Teams section. Clans being removed from the New Posts section isn't going to harm the clan community either, which is what I feel a lot of people think. As mentioned above, not many people actually find their preferred clans through New Posts, so nothing would be done to the community.

Also, clans not being in New Posts will just make the clan threads a few more clicks away, which isn't too hard to do. Now, maybe some people might say "Well, getting to non-clan threads is also just a few more clicks away". To that, I remind you that the non clan-related threads in the New Posts section are spread across different forums such as the Community Corner, Featured Suggestions, Forum Games, etc., where the clan threads are all in one general area under the Clans and Team forum.

Now that I have explained why removing the clan threads from the New Post section won't hurt the clan community, I want to explain why I think it would be beneficial to the less clan-oriented forumers.

So, finding threads that the non-clan forumers could actually reply to have been a challenge since clans have become the norm on MCGamer. I believe that this is the solution to it, as I have mentioned in a thread about a year ago. It will open up the New Posts section a lot and allow room for less known forumers' threads to get bigger so they can become a bit more known and enjoy the forums a bit more.

Now, I do not want this post to seem like I am hating on clans, so please don't assume that. I generally like clans as long as their members are behaving, but I have to get my point across. I want to apologize if anywhere in this post I seemed to be hating on clans, for I am not.

Please excuse the fact that I said "New Posts" like 154352345 times. c:

Wooh, that was a doozy of a post.

No, clans are a huge part of MCGamer and is why most of us are still even here I think it deserves to stat in the recent threads and replies sections.

Doesn't really bother me, but I'd rather them not there.

Yeah, this would be pretty cool. There are many of them, and they spam that section. It'd be cool if this was implemented, to be honest.

Coming from someone who is pretty deeply involved with clans, I don't want them in the New Posts section. Any clan/clan event that I am involved or interested in, I follow the thread and receive alerts if there is a new reply. If I hear about a new clan that piques my interest, I search for it directly, not scroll through the new posts.

When I want to use the forums for anything other than clans (which is a good percentage of the time), it's really hard to do so. When looking through the recent posts, 80-90% of the threads seem to be clans that I have never heard of and/or have 0 interest in. Because of the immense proliferation of these threads, I've often missed out on genuinely interesting discussions that I would have loved to take part in, but was unable to because I just didn't know they existed.

I don't think you would receive too much negative backlash from clans if you made this change. Most clan members follow the threads they care about, and have little to no interest in the rest. There might be a minor amount of resentment, but I think the benefits it would provide for the rest of the forum community would far outweigh the drawbacks.

Well clans are the reason I am still playing this game, like many other players here in the community, but I won't be biased in what I say here.

It doesn't seem like an issue at all, I mean it's just a new posts section. Considering if a new post is made in a clan thread it is no different from any other post. Clans were brought into this game and they form a large portion of the game too. This is stupid and not a real thing but I see it as discrimination towards clan threads (I get that sounds stupid). It is a stupid sounding statement but it is true. Clan threads are the same as every other thread out there and I see no reason to remove them from the new posts section.

Hey This Here is Pretty Important:
From what I have read most people have said that they hate how the new posts section is clouded with clan posts, kinda shows that clans are popular and attract attention. They get people replying and posting, doesn't seem logical to take that away if they are popular. I never use the forums for anything except clan threads, everything else serves no importance to me. Then again, I am a big clan player and that's why I'm still in this game.

Oh yeah, it seems kind of weird to me that the last 2 pages are full of staff saying they want clan posts removed from this section. Seems like a better idea to me if we got this more wide spread and went off the communities reaction instead of the majority of staff.

According to me, you know the bar on top where it says "Home-News-Games" etc. There should be like a clan section which redirects you to the clan forum. Will make it easier for everyone and recent threads can disclude the clan threads.

Actually, the staff is the minority out of these posts.

I know you are huge on clans, but I don't think people learn about any new ones via "New Threads." If you are looking for a clan, don't you just search in the "Clans and Teams" section anyway? I believe we're just trying to get more interesting threads noticed, especially when people make clans every 10 minutes. It gets pretty dull after time to us forumers, and it just reminds us on how the forums are getting more quiet.

Clans need to be recognized, but is this necessary?
