AMD is the cheaper version of NVidia, in my opinion.
I personally like NVidia more, but I've had good experiences with AMD cards as well.

1. You have no proof.

2. A 390x is meant for 4K, do your research because you clearly don't know what you're even talking about.

3. You want to keep back-chatting? It's bad enough I'm staff yet you want to continue insulting?

4. AMD's cores are what really matters compared to Intel, not to mention speeds.
They where the first to get to 1Ghz and now they're the world's first to get to 5Ghz.

5. Single core? The AMD 8350 is an eight core CPU. Games take advantage of that. As for the stuttering I doubt that has anything to do with the CPU, it's called a GPU or Graphics Processing Unit (Your graphics card) if you don't know what they are already.

So when you're ready, go delete that comment you made, and provide evidence rather than back-chat like a thirteen year old.
Most games don't take advantage of more than 2 cores.

Titan X and 980 are also meant for 4k, you might wanna do your research buddy :).

Doesn't matter that AMD was the first to get to 1 Ghz, intel CPU's are better subjectively, regardless of how you put it.

Even more: AMD Cpu's don't have an intergrated gpu, so if your gpu fails no pc for you :(

Thread reopened. Feel free to discuss, but do not insult, attack or tease anyone for what they have or what they believe. Let's keep this an intellectual, mature thread. Shall we?

I'd like to point you over to this discussion at /r/buildapc, I'll re-iterate some of the main points from the discussion here:

- AMD GPUs have a slight advantage over Nvidia in performance/price.

- AMD GPUs tend to run hotter than their Nvidia counterparts, especially at the high-end. This is especially true for reference cards.

- Nvidia have a much stronger presence in the gaming world, and their marketing is better; more people know about them.

- Nvidia has better and easier to use software/ drivers for its cards.

- Nvidia cards tend to be of a higher build quality and will typically last longer than AMD cards. However, this doesn't matter so much anymore since most people won't keep the same card for longer than 2-3 years.

It's down to personal preference really. I personally like Nvidia but there's no reason I wouldn't choose to use an AMD card.

I agree ^ But DO NOT go with a product that has neither AMD/NVIDIA, trust me, I had a laptop with only a single Intel HD 5500 and it runs HORRIBLY, even by using the more optimised settings!
That's nothing to do with the card manufacturer. The card you are talking about is an integrated graphics card. AMD/Nvidia integrated cards perform similarly to Intel ones. No integrated card will be able to match the performance of a discrete card (after a certain price).

If you think that AMD CPUs are superior to Intel you are beyond delusional.

Great to see another redditor here, but I prefer /r/pcmasterrace :p

The overclocking of AMD CPU's is far superior if you haven't seen.
You can overclock them more but they still won't perform as well as Intel CPUs. It's to do with the architecture, it's not all about numbers on a sheet of paper.

I'm aware, though what about this?

Not trying to be a fan-boy, at all. I'm just giving AMD more credit because they don't slap their names on every game out there. Look at those dates though.. 2012-11-19... AMD reached 8794MHz where as 2015-04-02 Intel reached 8979...
AMD where the first to reach 1Ghz all the way up to 5Ghz. Dats some crazy speeds...
