How did you get into anime?

Im really pointing this thread out to anime watchers on the forums, so please don't troll with I don't watch anime . I started watching anime when I was about 4 or 5, I was really into Naruto, Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, One Piece & other animes at the time. I should really thank my older brother for showing me it because I love it so much and it really is entertaining to watch. Feel free to leave your responses below and tell me how you got into anime!

I know you said to not post things saying you don't watch anime, but I've really been wanting to get into watching it lately! Any recommendations on what I should watch?

There aren't many animes on Netflix but ones you should start are Sword Art Online, Soul Eater, Blue Exorcist & Fairy Tail

Netflix or any anime watching sites. I recommend Akame ga Kill, Blue Exorcist, Hamatora, Trinity Seven & Nisekoi. The anime with the most amount episodes on that list is Hamatora.

Personally, I began watching anime at the age of 10 and all I can say is OnePiece. It will always be the best literary piece in modern day society. There is just so much to that anime which I cannot express.

My friend suggested I watched SAO, and so I did. Slowly, I began to watch more anime series. I'm slowly becoming more and more addicted. Send help.

If you're into psychological/mystery type stuff, watch Mirai Nikki or Death Note.

Alright, prepare to embark on my anime journey...

I was visiting my relatives in New York City (flew from San Diego) and that was when I had my first encounter with an amazing anime, Naruto. I've seen Naruto before on Cartoon Network and I thought it was dumb at first until I noticed my cousin watching it in New York. I asked her what was that and she looked at me confused, then said, the anime Naruto. I thought it looked amazing so I watched some with her, then watched some alone. I got super addicted to it and that was when I began to realize there were other animes out there that were amazing as well. I started watching underrated animes because I didn't know any good ones at the time. I first watched Green Green and School Days (I would not recommend either of them to watch... I was 10/11 and perverted) then I started watching action animes. I continued to watch anime until I finally found great anime websites, kissanime and animeshow.tv I finally knew what animes were airing and when to watch them. And thus, here I am now, an Otaku :3

Fun fact: I once stayed up 48 hours of watching Hajime no Ippo straight...
