Hello,
I reckon it would be a lot more convenient to have someones IGN linked to their forums account, this could be done by simply having a little tag under their name on posts saying "IGN: Ryn" (Examples below)
This would help stop a lot of confusion that the name changes have brought upon our identities.. Of course there needs to be some type of auto verification for people - such as a page that you log into and it reads your ign and then pastes it to your account (So people don't just put down 'Huahwi'). I think it is very illogical that people have to result to changing their forums name to match their ign (Especially when the forums name isn't available)..
This would help stop a lot of fraudulent behaviour, as you will have to know the accounts log-in details in order to claim 100% ownership of the account.
