Shelby's 'Ask me anything' thread

So I put out a tweet asking if people wanted me to do an AMA thread on the forums - with a few responses, some encouragement and a very enthusiastic person asking for it, I've decided to go ahead with it. Though i've answered over 1000 questions on ask.fm, i figured it may be cool to get questions answered here.

So for those who don't know who I am, let's start from some basics.

Who are you?
My name is Shelby, i'm 20 years old, I live in Australia and I am a VIP. I lead Team Invictus, a build team. Formerly, I was a senior mod at MCGamer for just under a year and worked closely on map development during this time, often being one of those handling map selections to go onto the servers. I've been in the community itself for two years.

What questions would be off limits?
Anything inherently rude, sexual, downright rule breaking or way too personal won't be answered. That is just logical. Also, anything that might get me in trouble - like sharing staff information and stuff would be a nono.

What kind of questions are you expecting?
Probably things like my opinions on certain maps, minecraft, staffing stuff, my resignation and a few questions about me maybe. Who knows.

Ask away. I'll answer to the best of my ability.

If you were to travel what countries/places would you visit and why?

4) I'd take the opportunity. I have reasoning for this. 1, I don't think a couple thats been together for just shy of two months would suddenly want to move in together - 2, you didn't specify if we'd have jobs or anything, but rather we'd just be together. So i'd rather the opportunity, work up lots of cash, develop the relationship, visit him a lot, then go through with living together if all went well. You feel?

6) Demons Breeze/Breeze island are tied.

7) I haven't even played Thorndon yet, i wasn't even one of the map people who selected it But I do have a special love for Origins and of course, Mockingjay.

8) That's a weird question. I think I would remove all inhumane hunting traps/weapons, because conservation of species is important in preserving our ecological wonders. Blanket removal of weapons would do bad things, overall, I think. Because there are times when defense is a necessary part of life. Also, with removal of weapons, couldn't anything that can be used as a weapon be subsequently removed? like kitchen knives, baseball bats, bricks, etc? That'd cause huge property inconveniences and would make cooking really hard.

9) No, I have no plans to. I will be sticking around at ChadTheDJ's request as moral support for moderators, but being staff isn't my thing anymore. I am wayyyy too comfortable just relaxing and enjoying the community now!

What inspired you to create a build team/become a staff member?

At the end of the day, how do you feel about your time here at MCGamer?
