It was probably funny at some point, but "best cat" and "favorite OTP" are pretty dumb categories, honestly. It's not like people who are actually talented or dedicated can win any of these awards anyway. The Official MCGamer awards should contain categories that truly exemplify certain characteristics of the people here at MCGamer, and these two lack this.

Another thought, why do they differentiate male and female forumers, when foruming isn't really a skill that is differentiated by gender.

Also, I don't think there really is a skill that is differentiated by gender at all, unless we backtrack a century or so. Anyway, most of them are fine, some aren't as good as others.

People who are whining about some categories are kind of missing the point. It's meant to be for fun. But some of y'all just don't want people to enjoy themselves do you? Must be 100% serious all day every day!
Also some people take their community OTPs very seriously. The shipping wars are real.
