Pretty sure his forum name was just ExKing. Either way, I like the direction this is going. I've seen multiple instances in which players have broken the rules, but have learned from their mistakes and become helpful, and/or even model members of the community but are banned from one or more of our platforms. This doesn't happen often, but it does in enough situations that it should at the least be brought to the attention of the Sr. Staff/Administration. A lot of these have been cases where the player didn't know that they were breaking a rule, because it was obscure and/or not in place on other networks. For that, however, it is partly their fault seeing as they should have read all of our rules, but we can't expect everyone to be perfect.May I remind old-timers of ExKing? (I'm not sure of the exact forum name)
Being permanently banned is quite honestly more hurtful than anything. People change very quickly, especially in the clan community. People learn to become more honest, respectful, and learn to take intense situations seriously. If anyone were to request to be unbanned if permanently before, and broke the rules AGAIN, it is quite dumb of them to do so unless it was done by a misunderstanding. Those types of people wouldn't have to be dealt with anymore as they had their chances.Pretty sure his forum name was just ExKing. Either way, I like the direction this is going. I am personally up for helping you out with contacting the Sr. Staff on seeing what we can do, also to my knowledge we do have some sort of forgiveness policy on hacking bans ever since the first offense was changed to a permaban, but I'm not sure how structured it is.
Although this argument is quite valid, I would assure that a year is a little too long. Keep in mind future moderators can play on the server for a year, just without moderator until that one year passes from their previous ban. A perm banned player won't be able to enjoy the server as he is obviously banned, but a future mod could.Good idea! I think that six months is too quick, I would say that one year is perfect.
That was our problem in the first place. Almost everyone who was banned for a week for hacking (using this as an example) went and hacked again. Most people who are active in the community and get banned, however, seek for a second chance and realize they were wrong and won't do it again. The simple truth is, we can't be as perfect but we will try to be as efficient and effective as we can.If anyone were to request to be unbanned if permanently before, and broke the rules AGAIN, it is quite dumb of them to do so unless it was done by a misunderstanding. MCSG is a strict server... If you were to give forgiveness a lot of hackers will come back.Really good idea!...I always thought of MCGamer as a server that showed forgiveness.
Nope. This suggestion, in case you didn't read the entire thread, would be something highly selective. There would only be a small handful of very deserving people who would be unbanned.MCSG is a strict server... If you were to give forgiveness a lot of hackers will come back.
