Yes, I agree. I probably hate hackers more than any one else on this server. I want nothing more than to bring Justice to the server. If we all work together we can create a "reborn", "hacker-less" community.

Tbh, if we really want to combat hackers to the max, everyone should record them, not just mods. So many times have I seen people leave the game after saying "hacker". I know not everyone can record, however, the more people that stay to record them the more we will catch :D. Remember follow your instincts and your hearts. :) Only together can we fight the hackers :p

I just googled a little bit and found out this:
"What you people don't realize, is that a "hacked" client (Nodus for example), is no different to a vanilla client. It sends no information to the server about itself."

Moderators are our first line of defense and probably will always be.
You can always help us by making some report abuses. ;)

And that is a huge part of the hacking problem. There's a limit on how many good moderators there can be, and how much work they can put in banning hackers. It is near impossible to have enough moderation to supercede the rate of hacking (evident by hackers existing in this community since its conception)

An advanced No-Cheat is the best solution to mitigate the hacking problem. A No-Cheat can work 24/7 banning hackers and is omnipotent throughout the servers. MCSG needs to follow in the footsteps of Badlion's anticheat and Kohi's AntiSkid in order to reduce the amount of hackers on the server.

I cant live without optifine.
It improves my FPS and I think that a player without a cape looks so weird.
That why I have a cape on all 3 of my accounts...

Xime Anti Cheat is not 100% accurate and can't be used for banning people.
You can always help us by using /report or making a report abuse.
We really appreciate it. :)

To fully get rid of hackers and hacked clients would be for developers to turn off all clients to the server, which means no clients other than the minecraft client its self would work, while connecting to MCGamer.
Hypothetically, this is true. If Minecraft had an, "enforce Vanilla client" function, or a, "check file integrity" function, we would be able to detect discrepancies in peoples' Minecrafts (such as Hacks) and be able to remove them.
However, the reality of the matter is that Minecraft does not yet allow this option (and likely never will, since their code is so scattered), and devoted hackers will still find a way to hack despite this obstacle.

But, continuing with the OP's topic, if we had the option to enforce vanilla clients perfectly at the cost of blocking the beneficial ones, I honestly wouldn't enforce vanilla clients. Part of MCG's appeal is our size and competition, and shrinking our overall playercount by an estimated 25%+ due to Minecraft's poor optimization does not seem like a beneficial choice. Sure, we would have to deal with the hackers and such, but that's an issue we can deal with, and it's better than losing entire regions (read: AU, CA) because player loss made those regions unfeasible. I think it would be worse to see our numbers shrink to stagnant levels (on top of the other issues) simply because Mojang can't optimize their own game.

Then improve it enough to autoban people accurately...

That's what our team of developers are working on. Its not quite as simple as clicking the "Make XIME better button."
Did I ever say that it was that simple?

My point is that the developers' main priority should be a better anti-cheat.
