8 render distance is pretty high if you PvP with a not-so-fast computer. I recommend using 4 at maximum. Draw distance massively affects performance, so you may want to try changing it to see if it helps your framerate.

I will go more in-depth on settings in a future post, but for now, try using VBOs. (Don't turn them on mid-game, because I've seen players crash.)
It does help my frame rate, but keep in mind when recording, 8 render distance is pretty much the minimum render distance. I wan't my videos to look good :3 But thanks for the tips! Look forward to reading you more in depth tips!

If you want to run Minecraft on decent settings, integrated graphics won't cut it.

If you don't have a lot of money, something like a 750 Ti will be fine, if you have a bit more to spend, I'd go with a 270x/280/960

Anytime you have a computer question, tag LukeTheCat. He knows what he's talking about.

Also, knowing your specs would be nice. We get that you have an i5 and 16gb ram, but what is your PSU, for example. It would help people get a better idea of your situation.

Through using Fullscreen, you can make your game look disgusting while gaining FPS.
In Optifine, go to the settings somewhere, and lower your resolution.

get a evga geforce gtx 960 or if you need cheaper a get a msi r9 270, id recommend the geforce if you want to record tho as u can use shadowplay cuz it doesnt effect your fps. but the 270 would be good also. also what are ur specs like is your i5 a K series? and whats your power supply?
