What do you mean "Your provide the equipment, and I'll do my best"? Are you expecting this guy to trust you with a $600s worth of computer parts for you to build? -____-
He means that powdski tells him what equipment he has and he will provide him with details if I am not wrong.

I was talking about the whole pc
It will give you an idea. The GPU will affect the FPS much more than the other components. Nobody can tell you the exact FPS your PC will get before you build it.

For $500-$600 you probably won't be able to get a PC that can run minecraft at 500+ fps. The list that LukeTheCat said would probably be the best computer you can get for that price. I'd recommend saving up for a while and getting a GTX 970 if you really insist on the 500+ fps. When I got time i'll try and put together a list of parts I'd recommend.

To be honest there is no point needing 500FPS. Even if you go 144 hz you won't even notice a difference. LukeTheCat's list should give you around 200-300fps with Maximum settings and 8 render distance. Look online and you should find something helpful

If you're looking to build a pc, pcpartpicker.com 's forums is probably the place to go honestly. Since minecraft is a java based game, if you want as many frames as possible, invest in a high quality CPU.

That's a very misleading statement. Yes, Minecraft is made using Java and is inherently more CPU intensive than most games; but in almost all cases, the GPU will still be the bottleneck. If the GPU is bottlenecking the CPU, investing in a better CPU won't do anything other than bump up the FPS a couple of frames.
