Seems like a good idea, given that it could be implemented without having it interfere with in game participants i.e. if you can't block arrows, block hits, etc. Might be more trouble than it's worth.

This really does sound like a good idea! The only thing is I don't know if it is possible, recently, we had a bug where spectators would appear and could walk like a normal player, while hackers did get caught more easily due to this, those spectators could also mess with normal players, break boats, block arrows, etc. if they were an entity. I'll see if I can bring this up at the next Staff Meeting, but honestly, it's up to the devs if this could be possible or not.

Isn't against the rules to block arrows and break boats as a spectator?

I do like this, however this may in turn lead to people being more careful about using their hacks and in turn making themselves harder to catch. Plus I'm pretty sure if specs were entities they could block arrows and break boats like a long time ago.
