Hey everyone,

Not just today, but within the past week I've ran into some complications whilst reporting people for spamming.
This ranges from "You cannot report using Gyazo" to "This needs a warning first before punishment" Yet, older staff just accept the reports and get on with their day?

Now, I'm not trying to say he's wrong or she's wrong I just want everything cleared up so I know when I can report and how to 'properly' do it. By the way, I use Imgur now.

I think this is more due to the face newer staff are trained differently to the older staff. Hence why they accept and the newer don't.

Nope, I've had reports denied because I used Gyazo and not Imgur. I get it's because they've been trained to strictly accept Imgur only but what's the problem with Gyazo? It's faster and easier for me.

Gyazo or prntscn images are not accepted due to the fact that images are automatically deleted after a certain amount of time.
Quoted from PSA: All About Report Abuses, Col has stated that Gyazo and Prntscn images are deleted after a certain time period, thus being easier for them to be uploaded onto Imgur, which will last forever.

Then maybe all staff should be taught that because half of my reports I used with Gyazo were accepted.

If you'd like to broach it with higher staff, then feel free to do so. There's no stopping you.

You can download the Gyazo pictures, so pretty much they last forever.

I am aware of this, though I'm not exactly sure as to why mods don't allow it/do it.
I'm guessing because Mods don't want to go around saving every picture on a report they go through.

To clear all the confusion, the reason why we request that users upload their images to Imgur is because if images on Gyazo are left sometime without being seen, they get deleted automatically. On Imgur, you can last a long time without seeing the image and it wouldn't delete. Now, I don't see why it should be a problem for moderators to reupload images to Imgur when it takes like 30 seconds max. In addition, I don't see the need to decline a report, if the evidence provided is sufficient, the report should be accepted. So, to answer your questions, no it isn't the way mods are trained, we've all been trained with the same guide/template or whatever, it's just whether mods are willing to re-upload an image. By all means, if you have seen someone decline your report due to usage of a Gyazo link, then direct it to a Sr. Mod.

Not done yet, about the reports getting declined because it'll warrant a warning, you shouldn't receive any troubles with that in the future as the confusion has been cleared to the staff team.
Hope this answered your question. If not, go ahead and send me a PM c:
