Why haven't they changed the name of Survival Games to PvP Games yet? Seriously, doing that would take all of the skill out of playing on those maps (which is why I enjoy playing them). Newer maps have chests that are everywhere and are easy to find and completely take the "Survival" out of Survival Games. The community literally wants skill to be taken out of the game. I don't understand.
What I meant isn't to add tons of chests, rather to scatter more chests around the map rather than to concentrate like 10 chests in just one area which is evident in survival games 1 and 2. This makes the game a little more fair for newer players who aren't experienced, and encourages them to stay.

Newer maps do have a lot of chests, however that's what tiering chests is for. With tiering of chests, it requires either map knowledge or pure skill to get stacked. If a person doesn't have map knowledge, but he has skill, he can kill someone with map knowledge but no skill. This is due to the fact that there are tier 1 chests which give leather stuff and bad weapons. With the scarcity of tier one chests in oldern maps, players with map knowledge have 0 chance in winning the game.

Scattering more chests around the map wouldn't take "skill" out of the game, it simply gives more of a fair chance. I really like survival games 2, but the fact that the only few chests are all concentrated in one area makes it really unfair especially when there is a team, they're bound to win for sure.
I think all that would be required is re-tiering the maps then. I know routes in pretty much every direction on SG1 and SG2 but MCSG retiered them and basically made it so that there's only one or two places with lots of tier 2's on the maps. The only reason people don't know of these routes is because they don't bother learning them and if they do find them they're all tier 1's so they don't go that way again and therefore don't remember the route. Then they just go to the few places where there are tier 2's.

Revamping these maps is a bit hard, but you know it would be sort of fun and exciting to see a revamp of these older maps on a chest perspective. I'd like to see us slicing up these older maps a bit more. Now when I say this I don't mean like spamming tier 2's, I mean this more along the lines of balancing out the tiers. This'll be brought up :)

I don't know, maybe we can suggest it to make it a poll, I play Minecraft since 2012 and removing this maps for me would be impossible to believe it, the thing is that playing this maps on survival games is so difficult, remember hunger games, you could break blocks and a compass, but now is difficult to play it, I think they should make a revamp.

You can't make the perfect map. It simply isn't possible. That's why I think that these old maps should be left alone, because they show SG maps' progression through time, how the community's changed and such.

As for the PVP aspect of maps, they each have their own qualities, but SG maps shouldn't be PVP maps, it was never intended for that, if that was the case then 'maps' would be flat, no names, nothing, but that obviously isn't the case.

In any game, there is a learning curve, that is the case with SG too, not only do you need to learn how to PVP, but the reason why SG is so successful, is because that their are so many things to learn, routes, terrain, and such.

Revamping maps to be easier for everyone takes away some of this learning that makes SG so successful, remember, SG is not all about PVP.
