How being Staff has changed me

Hello people of the forums,

I've been a Staff member here at the MCGamer Network since 19th of October 2014 and to be quite honest, I am so glad that I applied. Joining the Staff team has honestly been the best decision I've ever made and I do not regret it at all.
When I was accepted I made two amazing friends that helped me out in the beginning, BigFella and Itz_DanyBoi . And these two I could never regret meeting, because they're both such amazing people and I thank them for not only being my friends, but taking my bans before I was trained
Im not going to go into my whole Staff journey (I'll leave that for when I make it to one year as staff (which is an aim of mine))
But the purpose of this thread is that I want the community to know how being a staff member has changed me and how amazing we (the staff) really are.

Being a Staff member has changed me so much. I'm so open to making new friends online and have gained so many social skills that now I want to make as many friends as possible.
Every single member of the staff team are so unique and different, which makes us so much better as a team. We're all good at something different and it makes us special for who we are.
I'd really like to thank all the members of the staff team that were so welcoming to me, and I hope I pass the welcoming feeling onto every new staff member we receive.

I see community members asking why we're still hiring staff and honestly all I can say to that is, Why not?
Compared to the 3.5 million players that have ever logged onto MCGamer, only 0.004 % are staff members. I want anyone out there that is thinking of applying for staff to apply. Because in my experience, its the best thing I've ever done and I don't want any player out there regretting that they didn't apply themselves.

My favourite part about being a staff member is meeting people and making friends. It was so hard for to make friends online before becoming staff, though I still have many that I'm friends with today that I've known for almost 2 years. But being staff has enabled me to become friends with not only staff members, but community members as well.
The staff have given me this confidence to express myself, who I am and who I'll continue to be. We all have a common interest which was becoming staff on MCGamer, so it made it so much easier to get along.
There are so many staff members that I've never talked to, though when we did speak on teamspeak for the first time, it was like we'd been friends for a long time. (Ceroria - that happened with you and I tbh)
I'm so glad that I have an amazing group of people along side me. There are no words to express how thankful I am for the staff team.

I'm thankful for the whole team and I honestly don't know where I'd be without them. They've made my time being a staff member worth while, and I look forward to the months ahead.

I don't really know how to finish this off as I'm not very experienced with forum postings.
But there are two things I'd like to know.

From my fellow staff members I'd like to know what they like about being staff the most?
From the community members I'd like to know what you like about the MCGamer community the best?

If they were mods I believe they would have a perfect position. A lot of mods on here have like 300 messages and below and its kinda sad.

like me? Personally I'm not a forums person and I completely understand any staff member that doesn't have many messages on the forums. I prefer teamspeak and ingame moderating and I don't necessarily think you have to be a good former to be a good staff member

This is inspiring I moved on to the pending stage. Thankyou TrebleMaker07_ you make me want to stop these rule breakers even more than I did before

If a staff puts more time on moderating servers because the staff those not like forums that those not make us look sad at all.
Actually I prefer to put more time to the servers then to the forums.
All the complains we get are mostly directed to our servers. (In-Game)
Don't get me wrong forums are great way to communicate but some people just don't like it.
Of course there will always be someone who will like moderating forums more then servers.

I'm proud of how much you've impacted others and how having such a significant role could change you positively! Your close to 1 year at being a great mod here in the MCGamer community and I hope you hit that mark!

The best thing about the MCGamer Community would be the staff. You all are wonderful and I've gained positive relationships with most of you. You are all truly helpful, funny and enjoyable to be with. Especially if you hear Frankyy 's laugh (trust me it will make your day).

I wish I had gotten pending on my application, but if it wasn't for my recent ban, I got declined. I do hope to apply in the future, because honestly, I think this would be a great experience from what some of the staff are telling me. If it's as good as they say it is, I won't ever stop trying.

Being staff can not only change the person behind the role, but you can change the community as well, in a positive way of course

Yeah, being staff has changed some things in my life, but it hasn't changed my personality too much. After all, this is a Minecraft server, and my life shouldn't revolve around it. Definitely doesn't mean it's not important to me though. It's awesome here
