Greetings,

I am creating this thread to have a simple discussion with the 'forum browsers' (is that even a thing..).

Do you think that there is too many Events being created?

Now it is something that has come to my attention in the past couple of weeks, there has been a slight increase in Event creations. I am not taking anything away from the Event creators, they are all great ideas! But I do think that there needs a cooldown on Event creations, or atleast hold off on enacting the event. The issue being, it is flooding up the first page of the community corner, is it? I think I speak on behalf of majority of the forum users whenever they click the 'Community Corner' thread and have to scroll once or twice to reach newer threads. I am not saying that it's a problem needed attending to straight away! But I feel like it is a big inconvenience.

A simple solution to this is a sub-section creation for the threads, it would not be much of a hassle to create the sub-section. A possible con is that it may be foreign for user's to try and find the 'Event List' with all the sections you'd have to go through to find them (On second thought, clicking twice to find the events isn't so hard, but hey).

So what is your opinion? Should there be a Sub-section creation? Drop your replies down below! :)

I don't think there are two many, also if there are than whats the bother? People can interact and make new friends at these events. I've meet some great guys who are mods now. ShaiPR7 & SavingGrace. But I think more events should be made so all of us can have fun!

I don't believe it's a question of "too many", however an issue of them being too concentrated to the Community Corner. Unfortunately, it seems like the only thing people mostly check nowadays is this very section so who knows.

You're missing the point, I have no problem with the creation of Events. I am asking if the vast amount of Event threads are flooding the community corner's first page, or a cooldown on the amount of Events created [1 per 3 weeks?] aswell as a possible sub-section for the Events to prevent flooding of Event threads.

Ah ok, I think the sub-section could be a good thing to add.

I don't think there is too many events at all. There may be a lot of events but not too many. That is very good and here is why. I am awful at PvP. I can't even get a win if I were to be in full Protection IV armor. Why would someone like me like to participate in a PvP related event? I'd rather just be in the TeamSpeak to talk to everyone and not PvP lol. There are people that are into PvP related events and that's what makes them so great. Now, we have events like Round Table Review. I enjoy it because I enjoy learning about the world and speaking my opinions. The amount of events give everyone a chance to do what they enjoy and love. That's what makes our community so great. I am sorry if my wording is broken in this I got up about 3 minutes ago and yeah....

It think that it's amazing to have so many events, they are all great and well organized. I really don't see the problem having much events.

Honestly, scrolling down doesn't really bother me, although, it would be nice to have an separate section for all the events :)

I definitely understand your perspective on this OhFancy. Recently, there has been a massive surge in the quantity of community events which have proven to be extremely beneficial. Do I think it's beneficial to have a sub-forum for event threads? No, I don't see it necessary. Do I think it's bad to have too many events at once? Not necessarily. Most of the events are quite unique to one another and have different aims or methods to benefit the community. Therefore I don't see an issue with a lots of events at once. It gives us lots to do after all and allows the community heaps of ways to interact no matter if they are restricted by time zones etc.

I wouldn't say there are too many events being held, but there's alot going into the community corner, only because these events involves and encourages the community to participate. I mean the amount of events that are being held are amazing, because they are grabbing the community's attention and the are also events that the community can enjoy and experience. It allows the whole community to interact and gain a better understanding on how some of the members act, it allows some members to gain some new friends and possibly gain stronger friendships with their current friends.

So, I believe that the creation of events shouldn't be put on cooldown, but I suggest hosting the events in appropriate and suitable time spaces because some members may not be able to keep up. For example, host an event on the 30/7/15 and then host another event the next week or when the current event has been finished. However, some members may not like this certain event and want to participate in another one, that is also being hosted. You get what I mean?

This is only my opinion, so yep :)
