What is Community Fusion?
This event is based on the sole purpose of making new friends / colleagues within the MCGamer community via. teamspeak and in-game. We do see that many people here within the community having the struggle of breaking the barrier between acquaintances to friends. Within this event we will have a group of community members and we will go through some activities to get them more aware / known of each and hopefully become friends. At this event there will be a total of 3 activities if you don’t count our community member show off. Each activity will strive for the goal to get people working together and to know them better. After the total of 3 activities are finished we will end the session off with a showcase section of the event / session.
The reason we call it a “showcase” is because of the fact that each individual user within in the network will have the chance to showcase their personality and unique assets about them.
This part of the session each user will need to sign up on a document so we can keep track of each user that wants to participate in the live showcase section.
How does the community member showcase work?
When they signup they will be given the microphone via. teamspeak later on and we will ask them a series of questions about themselves. After they are done answering the questions they will have the chance to communicate a couple of extra things about themselves.
As the session comes to a close we will give our final speech and have people head out of the channel.
Why is this event unique and different from others?
This event is unique and different from others because there has never been a event that gets the community members more engaged with each other like no other. Our assets within the event are unique and original so we are not worried that we will be overthrown by others.
What will the activities consist of?
Each session will have a total of 3 new icebreakers / activities to get the community more involved with each other. Each session will have new icebreakers so they will never be re-done. We want to make sure that each session will not bore people with the same ice breakers, we want to add some more interest for each session.
Time & Date
Each event will take place every other Sunday on the MCGamer teamspeak. For example, the weekend that this is posted, the next weekend will be the event.
The exact time of the event will be:
12:30 P.M CST - Event staff will enter the channel and prepare for the event.
1:00 P.M CST - Events officially starts and people start to engage.
2:30 P.M CST - Ice breaker activities end and our spotlight session begins.
2:50 P.M CST - We start to wrap up the event, giving a couple highlights and tips to work on to meet new members.
3:00 P.M CST - We move everyone out of the channel and close it until the next session.
How do I join each session / event?
All you need to do is follow these steps:
- Make sure it is the time & day of the event.
- Log onto the MCGamer teamspeak (ts.mcgamer.net) & join the event channel at the bottom of the teamspeak. If our first session goes well we will move to a perm. channel in the events section of the teamspeak.
- Once you are in the session just listen.
- Once your session group starts have fun!
