Hello.

Yes this thread is straight up named Dave. Wondering why? Well I'm referring to Dave. Previous MCGamer Staff/Admin. Some of you are probably wondering why I would make a thread about such a person. I've been on MCSG since late 2013. I know generally everything about MCSG, I've been with it through thick and thin. And I can say Dave was a good admin. There was controversy surrounding him, but right now, I think we need to ignore that and focus on the main point.

Dave needs to return. Personally I think he's one of the best admins we have. He listens to the community and knows what's best. You can check his forum page, and I believe the question has been asked a few time's are you going to return. His is "I only can if Chad asks". If you also check his page, you can see he has faith in something that many do not. "I can fix this community" -@Dave We need this attitude within MCSG. He's experienced, he know's what we want's and he can fix this community. Chad needs to see the big picture and do what's best. I also think some admin should step up and suggest to Chad to bring Dave. If they have grudges with Dave tough. He know's what's right, and doesn't want the community to die. He can make MCSG great again (please don't kill me with that reference) This is why I believe in Dave, and why you should too.

Thank you.

This community does not need to add leadership that is not fully dedicated to this server. That is the last thing it needs. Dave has his hands full with Team Elite. Either he gives up that (which I don't seem him doing), or he shouldn't even be considered for an admin position.

Dave is not the crown jewel that was stolen away from us and if returned would fix everything and revive MCGamer. Dave has many other responsibilities, i.e. Team Elite as arsenal previously pointed out and his own life. MCGamer has a lot of problems, so does every other server out there and if Dave came back it would take so much time away from his free time that his life would be pretty much nonexistent.

MCGamer has other problems at the moment, and to add another one would only deeper set the problem.

Well, considering I'm pretty sure he wan'ts to come back and revive the community I wouldn't say he cares about his free time. I respect whatever his decision would be, but I think he want's to do it. He believes he can fix it, he said that in a status update, so, I guess you have a point it's 50/50

Sorry Arsenal, but I'll have to disagree with you here. Dave doesn't run Team Elite at this point in time, I do. He may have the owner tag, but I run the team and he doesn't do much as of right now. I can guarantee that if he comes back, he'll be fully dedicated to MCGamer. I'd also like to point out that Dave ran Team Elite during his time as an admin here (without my help) and things were just fine. I don't think that his time commitments are an issue here.

Hey, remember that petition that was sent around that got a crap ton of signatures to get Dave fired? Yeah, me too.

Remember when Dave decided to implement a rule where if anyone who mentioned//posted the link would be perma banned on MCGamer? ya, same.

I don't see why people are trying to pin the problem of MCGamer on any member of the administration. They do everything they possibly can to make the community better but are hugely restricted with having to get permission from Chad for a lot of things. This leads to very unproductive work and has nothing to do with the efforts of the administration but rather an issue with how the server is being run on Chad's end.

I beg to disagree with you, and I hope you catch my point in the following.

There was a lot of controversy surrounding Dave, and a large majority of that controversy was not ill founded or untrue.

Dave is an absolutely amazing person with the best intentions. He has the experience of course, but he is not what MCGamer needs if it wants to take steps in the right direction.

MCGamer needs an outsider, someone who has no personal connection to the server. This person also needs to stick. We've tried bringing in outsiders in the past (just over a year ago, Chad and Col hired two California locals who resigned a very short time after their trial began). However, someone coming in and ripping apart policy and whatever issues may have become prominent since I left would start off on rough ground, but would ultimately help the administration become more productive.

Not only do we need someone from the outside, we also need Chad. Chad visits tri-monthly, and it is a huge motivation killer. Productivity is literally killed when Chad isn't around ad the Admins (and Sr. Mods in some instances) need to have permission from Chad to make any great changes whether it be in policy or in game. I cannot think of a better analogy than the fact that there is quite literally a leash around the team.

I do want to see MCGamer come back from where it is now, but first Chad needs to be here, then damage needs to be assessed, and an impartial party needs to be brought in to fix the damage.

As a close personal friend of Dave's, I have to disagree with this entire post. I served under Dave as a moderator, and yes he was one hell of a leader as many can probably agree.

However, as of the last year people have been obsessed with trying to bring him back but, I honestly believe it would be a huge mistake. Not only is he very sensitive, he can also become massively depressed over short or large periods of time.

As awful as this sounds, I think him returning would break him as a person and the community would soon resent him again!

I think Dave is a wonderful human being, but he isnt ready for a return to MCG!

(Not intended as hurtful as he knows I adore him as a person!)

I actually agree, I think Chad needs to become more active and involved before anything else happens.

*Sorry four double post*

I have to disagree here. As he's said he want's to return, that fact is, I think he's know what the risk it if he come's back or else he wouldn't have said he want's to. But I can understand where you're coming from.

I'm sorry, but I have been friends with Dave for a long time and I indeed know his feelings on the matter. He was so hurt an emotional at having to leave MCGamer, but he did it. Since that day he has resented people at MCGamer and anyone that talked about it. If he returned it would be a huge mistake.

Well you cant know him more than he knows himself, he says himself he want's to come regardless of what you think his state of mind is in
