Yep, the harder high-tiers things are to find, the more survival it is.
And it prevents to have too much difference between players that stays at the Corn and thoses who dont (having iron is waaaaaaaay sufficient to beat the hell out of someone who only have a stone sword... and even leather...
Many topics already have been posted on that subject in the forums.
And reactions are always splitted, almost 50/50.
But I agree.
Knowing where the chests are is not skill to be good at. Its just memory, and it does not mean in any way that you're better than the others.
If you would always...
Just for the info : optifine's zoom option allow to see things bigger, but do not allow to see things that would usually be out of line of sight (=> does not make the player see farther), makes you blind to almost 60 to 70% of the normal game screen (since you zoom on only a small part of it)...
Yeah would be so cool to actually able to earn them in-game and be recorded here on the website... (I mean automatically earn them, that they are recorded on your profile somewhere...)
And for example as an option to turn them on / off in you sig to show them in the forums :-P
Of course, but by doing that you'll never know where they are right at the first seconds on the game... So not everyone would just run to the same destination, since it would be a chance there could be nothing there.
Would force people to search for more chests, since if they find one empty...
More maps would not be good.
But 12 chests scattered around, with only 4 of them not empty (randomly chosen) would engage a little luck in the game...
But I see the point of the longer routes AverageLoz is pointing to... longer routes = longer games I assume, but... yeah but I don't see that as...
Maybe could be a combination of wins/losses, kills/deaths, time survived/total game time, total non-empty chests looted / total chests looted, and so on... (things that I'd like to be able to see somewhere outside the game as I speak of it... general stats are good for...
I agree on the point that everybody should fear all the others, not one over-geared diamond-covered guy that can just smash anybody else without even sweating, waiting in the center for other players to show up... (other players actually avoiding him since they have no chance at all to kill him...
Yeah but for most people (almost 90-95% maybe ?...) there's only 1 crafting table... so it does not encourage people that doesn't know perfectly maps...
I must say I agree on almost all the points that were raised in the first place.
And as far as it concerns the lack of useful things to build / gain more powerful weapons outside the corn while there is a team holding it, I totally disagree with HalfSquirrel point : even if you CAN find enough...
How do you "heal up" before being teleported when the teleportation is coming like 10 seconds after the 3rd being killed ?...
And I'm not mad, it haven't happened to me until then... its just that you'll hear a lot of complaints about that, especially if the minecraft survival is able to get...
We can remove the chat... thus most of people couldn't team... I'm not suggesting that, just say if we really wanted to make it happen, that could be a solution.
Yeah but not having a single bit of random in the game just make the game "enjoyable" only to people who exactly know every single bit of the game... And thus leaving parts like the skycraper one or the forest in the map 2 to new players that don't know the map and wander in thoses areas trying...
Its a good idea, but what about also personal stats ?...
I would be happy to be able to know how much damage I've personaly dealt, living time, etc etc...
Of course health refill would not happen in real life, but teleportation neither.
If you killed the third one, in real life you could maybe have plenty of time to regain your maximum health form, before the last one shows up if he's not immediatly around...
So please complain about reality when...
