I'm here. I played US in the beggining because for some reason I could never connect to the EU servers. I even killed you once back then and that was one of my biggest motivation to get better at SG because you were my idol back then, but you will probably not recognize me. FeelsBadMan

I also had this problem about three years ago. I simply deactivated my firewall when I wanted to play some MCSG. If you don't like to do so you could probably reinstall minecraft and/or use another profile as this mostlikely helps with 80% of all connection problems.

The old beta guys (like me :D) don't even care about stats. We don't play that often or pretty rarely because everyone's tryharding and teaming and stuff.. Unranked SG ist a good idea in general but it wouldn't bring back old guys like gcb or even older ones like zeejayy.
