1.7 Vs 1.8

Hi guys ,

I was wondering what version you guys prefer for mcsg in particular. I know they differ greatly from each other pvp wise. So I was wondering what and why you guys use the version you play on. (I currently play on 1.7) thanks.

I currently play on 1.7 because I get much better hits than on 1.8. Also I have a some staff tools which can be only used with 1.7.10.

In my opinion, 1.7 is better for PvP on MCSG because the anticheat works better with it when it comes to hit detection. But I know tons of people that like how 1.8 works here and can abuse take advantage of it.

However, that might be a nostalgic bias, as I started to get good at PvP in 1.7 and got worse with 1.8.

Gotta agree with you here , 1.7 is better for PvP and a few staff tools

Knockback seems to be a little bit less compared to 1.8, and hitbox sizes are a bit bigger, allowing you to hit easier. Hunger doesn't drain that fast.

More knockback, smaller hitboxes, players seem to be less "fleshy" when you hit them.

1.7 is alot better for pvp in my opinion, but I get more fps on 1.8!
