Hello everyone in the MCGamer community,
Today i will be showing you the way I personally believe the MCGamer Clan System should be structured and why MCGamer needs to reformat this system.
Note >> I am horrible at getting my ideas on paper so im sorry in advance
Note >> This is only a suggestion, I am not fully aware if all of these feutures are even possible to code ;-;
So I will start by asking a question, What is one of the first items you see in both the "Recent Thread Replies" and the "Recent Threads"..... You see a bunch of Clans created and people applying for those clans, which is great if your into the whole MCSG clan rivalry and whose got the better clan in their specific region, however, after a while the threads just get clogged up and it is hard to see the geniune questions and suggestions that players of the community have, which causes people to specifcally post on staff members walls the questions that they have, which is fine I guess if people read their wall, but for people who don't go to their wall its a bit hard to answer the question, and personally i believe a staff members wall should be a place where they can just say updates that they want people to know without creating a whole new thread for it, E.G: "I like Chicken" or "So today I got a new PC ", It shouldn't be a place where people in the community can say "PLZPLZPLZ UNBAN PLZ I IS NO HACKZ JUST A BIT F CLICK BOT PLZ"
So now people in the comments will now say "Well how to you propose to fix this". My response to this is quiet simple and will make clan managment much easier and will get battles between clans a more regular practice.
So I believe the clan system should be completely separate to the MCGamer Fourms.........
Its as simple as that.
So you will go onto a website called clans.mcgamer.net and you will be greeted with a login screen.
The way you can login in using the same account you use for the MCGamer Fourms (Which should be easy for the developers as it just requires using the existing MySQL database that they use for the Xenforo Logins).
So how the new system will work is that the Clan leader will go onto clans.mcgamer.net and will register the clan, then you can either as a regular player apply for the clan or the clan leader can invite MCGamer players, and can promote and demote depending on their rank in the clan E.G. Officer, Owner.
Then ingame or in the SG:Clan hub, if you do /clan [clanname] to get information on the clan and their current roster.
The way in which two clan will battle is simple. In the SG:Clans Hub all you need to type is /clanbattle and it will come up with a big GUI that is organised in alphabetical order and all you need to do is middle click their clan item and it will send a request to the Clan Leader if he is online. Once the request has been accepted with the correct setting (5v5, 6v6), both of the clan leaders will be sent to a newly generated game with the voting catering to the maps that the clan plays on the was entered when the clan was registered, and both the clan leaders will get greeted by a GUI with all the players in their respective clan and all they need to do to add someone to the current game is drag their head above the black line and a notification will come up onto the players screen and it will have accept or deny, and this process contiuns until the amount of players are added that was agreed by both clan leaders.
And you will need to configure your roster every game for 7 rounds, and the score will be shown on a enderdragon bar at the top of the players screen.
If the a player is not on the roster then they cannot play the round and will be placed as a spectator if they in the SG:Clans Hub, if not and in just a regular game of SG the notification will not appear.
This roster system actually combats one of the most annoying forms of cheating in the community, clans getting random players/hackers to play for their clan without being on the roster, which in return makes the clan process more automated making the mods only job in clan battles to monitor if the players on any team are hacking or abusing glitchs.
Another item that is useful is the /forfeit (Reson) command. This allows for the clan to forfeit and this will go unnoticed on the because the for the rounds to contiunne to be played(so that the hackers don't toggle off their hacks or stop DDoSing), however a notification will be sent to all the clan moderators for them to monitor for The reason your clan decided to forfiet whetherd that is hacking or suspion of DDoS and by doing /forfiet the outcome of the match is decided by a mod whether that person was indeed breaking the rules, if they were the clan will be suspended and the match in the admin control panel that currently says "pending forfeit" will have to options with the two clans on the label, and the match will be given to the team that was not infact hacking. If you send a fake /forfeit and lie about the other clan hacking, then in the admin panel the match will be automatically awarded to the other team.
By using this automated system it also allows for there to be clan stats and in return, clan leaderboards, which is great because it increases the rivalry between clans.
And thats basically everything I've thought of.
Thankyou for taking the time out of your day to read this thread, and I hope it dosnt get clogged up with all the clan threads and replies on the forums
