Texture Pack Help

Good Evening,
I was grabbing assorted textures from an array of different 'purple' based texture packs. In an attempt to customize a bow, I used IBeaturscores bow and colored it purple but in-game the texture would appear as that ugly black and purple box, if anyone could please tell me how I could have done it correctly (or even do it for me if your feeling generous) it'd be appreciated greatly.

I never had that issue but hope you find someone to help you out! Try searching on YouTube or something.

The file is probably .jpg, it should be .png to work.

Tysm, I opened it using a different program and edited it and it worked.
