No idea, I don't even know what it means but I looked around and all the guides give the same IPs so I don't think its actually connecting to a separate server lol

also please don't triple post...

I found a fix for this problem, use the IPs 1.eu.mcsg.in instead of eu1.mcsg.in

im having the same problemo as kainpain14. All other servers on 1.4 work, except for mcsg. I went through the guide and now instead of having an unknown hostname, it says connecting to server until the operation timed out message came up. I'm running OSX Lion if it makes any difference.

If you're having issues beyond setting your DNS servers to OpenDNS, please provide the output of this command from your Command Prompt (Windows) or Terminal (Mac/Linux):
Code:
nslookup -type=srv _minecraft._tcp.us15.mcsg.in
Once done, paste the output here, and we can see if you're able to resolve the DNS records, or if there's an underlying issue somewhere else.

It isn't a fix, it's debug information to figure out what's going on.

*** No service location <SRV> records available for _minecraft._tcp.us15.mcsg.in

As for me also, this issue is ONLY with MCSG servers. All of my other servers work just fine. And does anyone know exactly what DNS address to put in when attempting the OP fix? I am running Windows 7 if it makes any difference.

Thank you for that. Could you paste the full results, or provide me with the "DNS Servers" from the network connection information page?
The servers you should set your DNS servers to are: 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220

Those were the results, but I went in a changed to the DNS servers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220. It now works perfectly, thanks so much for your advice!
