Hmm, I would love to make a map. Have been thinking about it for quite sometime now. Only problem is, I would need my friends help & I don't own a server to build it in. Good luck to everyone else though :]
servers are easy to get and free, its really quite easy just find a good tutorial or you could do it on your own. Some maps are already uploaded and are really, really bad.

Well, I'm going to find a team. The more players, the merrier (unless you accidentally hire some 10-year-old idiot) and I plan on being very merry. I'm going to go come up with a grand plan with 50,000 steps to make my map, and then I'm going to work on my availability.
EDIT: I vehemently disagree with the 3-week deadline. It's difficult to come up with a quality map in such little time. I'd prefer five weeks at least.

Too True. The best survival games maps come from months of work. 3 weeks is barely enough time to pull off something good in a moderately sized build team, if you define good as Team Vareide and Team Teweran standards.

Yes you heard right! The PlanetMinecraft.com community are teaming up with MCSG to host the first ever Arena Map Making contest for their site! Win cool prizes like a $120 steam gift card and other perks in both PMC and MCSG! Have an idea for a map you been holding off making? Well now is the time to post it on Planet Minecraft and submit it to the contest! Some of you already been noting that there are special PMC servers. Those servers will be used to add in maps submitted to the contest for judging by the public. So these servers will be removed once the contest is over, but that is why they are there. They will be turned on once people start submitting maps to judge.

Chad I have A map And was ready to submit it but then i read radius of 200 blocks My radius is 150 And isnt too big because involves water. Do you know how to undo world edit things once you have left the world???

Read the bottom-most sentence in red. BTW if you say you started after the contest announcement, I'd recommend working on it for as much time as you're given.

When I get WorldPainter and Voxel to work, I will start making my map. If I manage to make it just as good as I imagine, then you have a tough contestant to beat.
