How can you check if you have a 64 bit mac?
Go to the "Apple" menu, and select "About this Mac".

Click "More Info".

Click "System Report" - if you are on 10.6.x or below, skip this step, as there will not be a "System Report" button.

Look at the "Processor Name" in the window.

If the "Processor Name" is Intel Core Solo or Intel Core Duo or includes "PowerPC", your Mac is 32-bit; otherwise, it is 64-bit.

Core 2 Duo is 64-bit, Core Duo is 32-bit; your computer is 64-bit. I'm honestly not sure what the issue is then.
Hmmmmm ok. I am not sure what to do. This is really annoying I have tried everything I know this morning and nothing seems to work.
