So i have this 1 quick question i want to ask about the punishment of hackers.
I don't want this to be seen as something offensive to the staff or anyone else :3

So, why are the hackers only getting a 1 week ban (I think it is like this)
If they are always getting a 1 week ban ofcorse there will never be less hackers.
Please explain it :(

I feel a more permanent alternative should take it's place, first offence = 3 months, second = 8 months; but with no permanent bans.

They do that so the hackers can then realise after that they're doing something wrong and if they still continue hacking they are permanent banned, i think.

There are lots of threads of this nature but I'll answer anyway.

Imagine how you felt if you came on the server with BSM not knowing it was against the rules, then to find yourself banned for 3 months, for something you didnt know was against the rules. The week long ban acts as warning and gives the rule breaker time to remove the hacks.

Additionally, imagine if you were a donor who gets falsely banned for THREE MONTHS. This isnt fair to these people to even be banned in the first place, let alone for three months.

Lastly, the three month ban will result in players forgetting about MCGamer and finding other servers, causing a loss in revenue and players.
