Black Obsidian hole of death?

This happened to me quite a few times. around the cornucopia usually at the death match when I'm really close to winning and chasing the other opponent when i reach to hit him i teleport into a black obsidian hole and take 1 heart per second. i know it inst a trap because there is nothing there can somebody help me with this?

That never happend to me but sometimes when I am a spectator I get teleported to that hole when the dm starts.
