So have they totally eradicated diamond and most iron from all the chests?

Yeah I have been finding less and less too. But I still see some people with diamond swords, so my guess is it only comes in the center chests

Yeah it's a lot more rare. It's seems like there are going to be much fewer time when a team of players get two diamond swords. Also full iron is super rare, which I'm kind of liking.

I just had a game with two diamonds in one of the spawn chests >_>
And also full iron in a spawn chest in a separate game (was 48 players though, might explain that)

I don't think they're more rare, just a spot of bad luck D:

In the 24 player server I just got full iron armor, full gold armor and full chainmail armor with a diamond sword by the first night.
