I voted gold because I'm bored. But its chain, anyways.

Usually I pick the iron armour first, and then gold or chain depending on which looks best with iron. Usually iron chest and gold trousers work quite well together

I voted gold, just because it looks more menacing from a distance. It depends what you want to happen, though.
