Gold Sword Rumours...

Gold swords are TERRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE! It makes me so mad every time i see someone say "Gold swords are better then iron swords, retard". For people that do not know, gold swords are as powerful as wood. Their durability is worse. Only make a gold sword if you have no other sword!

Iron Swords and Diamond swords are ok. But Gold gets 1 hit kills. I get 1 hit kills all the time. Gold are the best.

If people want to think golden swords are better then let them. It just means that they'll be easier to kill.

Mhm, a gold sword with sharpness II is as strong as a diamond sword on average. At it's worst it's as strong as iron. Only an enchanted iron/diamond sword is stronger than it, but those are rare to see in games. This means that if you have a level or two, and enchantment table, and two gold ingots, you could potentially have something as strong as a diamond sword - more for use on strong opponents though, as it's durability is low. This could potentially save your life in games.
