Gotta love when people do this

Five tributes left, there's me sitting in a tree waiting for the chests to respawn, when I suddenly hear someone say "Leave".
I look down to see four people in gold/iron armour looking up at me. Not wanting to get slaughtered, I scarper off, but when I realize they haven't chased me, I edge my way back and take a look.
They're just chilling there, not even paying me any attention. Since I know I'm screwed anyway, I start taunting them and calling them chickens (bwak bwak bwak), until one of them starts coming near me, so I back off for a bit.
I find them later but they still don't care, until this happened after which one of them starts shooting arrows.
Shortly after that, the death match starts and I get taken out easily, at which point they just stand around the centre and made fun of the spectators for having to wait so long, and then proceeded to try and do the exact same thing next round (didn't hang around).

Anyway my point is that large groups of people teaming up to intentionally hold up the games is really irritating. I don't have a problem with teams most of the time but that was a little ridiculous. I don't really know what could be done to prevent that though, I just wanted to vent those frustrations.

That does get kinda annoying with the teams and all that.
But overall I like the new deathmatch.

Oh, I like the new death match, yeah. Who knows how long that could've gone on for without it?

I like teams that are actually good and look out for each other, not those jerks that held up the game. Plus I like the new DM too, the sand falling into the lava puts pressure on the tributes to make the thrill of battle increased

I remember that happened once. A team of two people with matching skins just started hanging around, not kill each other, and looking at chests.

The same thing happened at the new death match, but it was fun to watch to see who would survive first. (which was this guy clinging on to the center somehow.

Teams are ok in general, what you describe is the exception. Teams add challenge and a whole other perspective to the hg, resulting in a more rich HG experience. Teams with the sole intention of annoying everyone to tears with boredom are just as good as noobs hiding somewhere just camping out until death match for the sake of-(insert some kind of reason for camping in a survival game with obligatory death match here). It just ruins it for everyone.

When i play in team i do it to make things go smother and quicker, with great results, camping is not an option.
