HELP

I was muted for "spam" when all I was trying to do was get a moderators attention so I could get help!!! In SG whenever I play I am unable to make a diamond or iron sword it ALWAYS say "Minecraft 1.9 features are restricted..." Is there a way to fix this or do I have to change my update and also sorry if I was "Spamming" I needed help and no one was responding . I was infairly muted.
