Help!

I am trying to connect to the server but i keep getting java.lang.nullpointerexeption but i don't get it with any other servers. Someone please help!

I also had this problem about three years ago. I simply deactivated my firewall when I wanted to play some MCSG.
If you don't like to do so you could probably reinstall minecraft and/or use another profile as this mostlikely helps with 80% of all connection problems.

I suggest just to undownload all minecraft related things and then redownloading it, I had the same problem when I had a lot of complicated mods that didn't go together, if that doesn't work change to 1.8, for some reason 1.9 isn't collaborative on the server as weird as it is. Hope this helps!
