My strategy is, make up your own, don't do someone elses in the forums. As they might not work for you. If your new. Don't do a route, just follow and stalk people. Mark down some chests. Then on the next game you have your own route. Remember: Some routes work better for others.

I made my own route for map 1 despite there being many right here I could have copied. It is very uncommonly taken and I hardly ever see anybody throughout it. Once it's over, I am usually at least in full leather with an iron sword and a bow with a few arrows, heading back to corn. Generally, I just rely on them not being hackers and my 'skill' from there. By skill, I mean luck. Hardly any skill is involved because I'm not great at PvP.

Most of my games were won this way. I know some other people get even better stuff by the time they get to corn on first refill, but I'd rather know that I won't have any problems then rely on them not having gotten the redstone torch in the casino or something. I like it to be straightfoward, not one I have to have a million different paths set up for a million different situations.

Come up with your own strategies, they might work much better for you. I like to stay away from others so I don't have to rely on getting a weapon right off the bat, or them chasing me away from my route, but others might like a more risky way with a lot of people and try to slaughter them all for their stuff.

That with the routes allways depends on how much luck you have with the chests. Like on map 1 theres a few hidden spots where you can mostly get an iron sword right at the start. If you know a spot like that or find some really good stuff in the chests you allways run to first I wouldnt du my whole route. I would run back to the corn as fast as possible, and try to get better armor and maybe even a diamond the others got from the corn. Then run to the spots where most the people go at the start.
If you dont know such a hidden sword or good stuff in the chests i would try to hide and find good chests and go youre route untill you have more luck.
