hitting but not hitting

if im following a person that I want to killand im hitting him cause there came critical hit icons out him than he gets no damage. why?

Yeah its bloody annoying, if they are not running away but just around you, hit where they are going to be not where they are. It seems to work for me

You must be lagging horribly to have that working

I am, I live in New Zealand and my ping is normally above 700

Although it is not always up that high, and sometimes I can straight up fight.

One word, LAG. Your client recognizes the player in reach and therefore when you hit, you can see it hitting, but in acuallity, he's a little further ahead...

Yeah I hate that 2 :S. It's really annoying to chace someone with the lag.
