Also, on rare occasions, if you have a high score, people might try to kill you for your points at the very beginning.

yeah they also make teaming dangerous, cause people will betray you for the extra points.

Well, not really anymore since a lot of skilled players just bounty them all away.

All they do for me is cause 5 people to chase me after the game starts.

I got 1800 of points for a moderator raging on another (got alot of people bounty on him) and he acutal said where he was! (He used kind of a mod thingy for making me hear him ingame) And I killed him!
That is the only that happens to points, it was no skills to kill a guy with 54 poinst with better armor and weapons when a moderator helps you
