No it wouldn't, its only obfuscating ONE block so there will be NO LAG

What luke is trying to say is remove ALL of the blocks that you can see with xray apart from chests, so people with chest finder cannot find chests.

It will cause MINIMAL lag and NO problems what so ever as long as it's for JUST CHESTS, no ores, no stone, no sausages, JUST CHESTS.
