How to join server?

I am so new to minecraft I have it on Xbox but much better on PC. I need help. Everytime I put in the server I.P. which is like eug.25.msg something like that it tells me connection timed out. Try again. Over and over and over. Please help. Don't give me hate I'm very new to this stuff

Do I need to put it in perfectly like that?

Yes the only thing that should change would be eu25, you can find a list of the servers and ip's here.
