How to STOP lag near lava!

I get my normal 100 fps near lava. With sound.

Lava lag is different than normal lag. It only sometimes drops your fps and sounds to get through! I can walk by lava for a bit lag free, but then all of a sudden it drops my fps to 3 for about 5 seconds, then it is back to normal!

The funny thing is. I experience more lag on other maps then demon's. I get 100 fps, no other form of lag. And i normally play on like 90 fps.
