It will do well, but as Lively said, AMD CPUs run pretty hot and are a little bit more of a power hog than their Intel counterparts.
Get the 7970, it's better than the 650.

You will need a CPU cooler - AMD cores generally run really hot and use a lot of power. I reckon a 650W will do fine though.
