HP Pavilions are good if you want to make a safe choice. You know you'll get something good, more than enough for Minecraft at a reasonable price. Yes, there are better computers out there, but if you don't know much about computers and just need a good all-around computer for everyday things, HP is a great choice. My friend has a Pavilion laptop that he uses for Minecraft everyday, he gets good solid framerates, and is able to record using fraps and still get very limited amounts of lag on single and multiplayer. If you want to be sure you're getting something good before you buy, obviously check out lots of reviews by owners on the product, not just on one site, but on many non-biased sites (i.e. NOT in the HP website itself, but maybe a computer or laptop-specific forum.)

If you can see that the honest opinion of other owners is that they like their computers, then you can't really go wrong. If you would like, you could send me links to some computers you may be looking at and I can check them out for you and do a little deeper research, and tell you if it's a good buy. I enjoy doing that kind of thing, so please feel free. :)

Newegg is probably if not one of the best places to buy anything computer related. I suggest looking around there

I can easily beat that you never specified the price. I3 isnt the best processor and 4gb of ram could be better. But the graphics is really good 2gb of memory is great.

I am sorry to say, but it is nowhere near the most powerful laptop money can buy. My 5 year old laptop can still give your laptop a tough time...
